6/23/97 - This is an update on our summer schedule. Our excitement continues. For the third straight weekend, we have won our tournament! This time, it's the 3rd Annual ASA Northern California State Championship played at Belmont, CA! There were 11 teams entered in our age group. This win makes us eligible to play in the ASA Western United States Area Championships to be held in Spokane, Washington on Aug. 6-10. 32 teams from 16 regions in the western U.S. will be there and we'll be there. In the meantime, we are preparing hard for our upcoming tournament this weekend in Santa Rosa. It is a Class "A" tournament. It is such an exciting challenge and we are looking forward to the first pitch!

6/30/97 - We got beaten by better teams in the Nor-Cal Classic in Santa Rosa, CA. We lost. Nobody wants to lose and we are no exception. All we know is we played as hard as we can. Our losses this weekend made us a much better team.

7/14/97 - We had a good time in Benicia for the 10th Annual Sandy Shotwell Invitational. We had very good support, as usual, from our families and all of us have a 1st place suntan. But we placed 2nd. We are happy but we are not contented. We have to continue working hard. Another Thunder team won the tournament - Congratulations Vallejo Thunder.

7/21/97 - We reached the Championship game in the 12th Wine Valley Invitational in Napa, CA. The game went extra innings. We lost. We lost to a highly rated team - the West Bay Nuggets. They were awesome. There were 11 "A" teams in our age bracket and we are happy to place 2nd.

7/28/97 - We won another tournament! This time it's the Pleasanton Clubsport Classic. One of our very best this year. We won all of our six games and four were shutouts, one (championship game) was a perfect game. Our eyes are on Spokane, Washington. We'll work hard for that much-awaited tourney.

8/10/97 - Thunder wins the ASA Western United States Area Championships!!!

8/20/97 - THE PARTY'S OVER!
